Circuit Training Classes

Strength & Cardio Combined

Circuit training suits people who want structure without intensity dictating the whole session. At Personal Touch Fitness, a class moves you through a series of stations that mix resistance work and cardio, with a coach on the floor watching form and adjusting where needed. Because you rotate rather than queue, the session keeps moving and an hour goes quickly. It's a common starting point for members coming back after an injury, an illness or a long break, since every station can be made easier or harder on the spot. Our fitness workshops are worth a look if you want to understand the training behind it. Call 0438 696 925 to join a class at our Salamander Bay gym.

How A Session Runs

The structure stays consistent even when the exercises change.

  1. 01

Stations set up in advance. The circuit is laid out before class starts, so nobody stands around working out what comes next.

  2. 02

Timed work and rotation. Everyone moves on together at set intervals, which keeps the pace even and the room efficient.

  3. 03

A mix of strength and conditioning. Resistance stations sit between cardio ones, so you work hard without hammering the same muscles back to back.

  4. 04

Options at every station. Each exercise has an easier and a harder version, so a beginner and a regular can share the circuit without either being short-changed.

Strength & Cardio Benefits

Because circuits pair resistance stations with cardio ones, you build strength and conditioning in the same hour. Rotating between them keeps your heart rate up while each muscle group gets a break, so you work hard without burning out early. Members tell us the payoff shows up outside the gym first, in easier stairs, better sleep and more energy through the day.

FAQs

It's one of the better ones, because the intensity stays controlled and each station can be scaled without singling anyone out. Having a coach present also means technique gets corrected early.

It does both, though neither to the extent that dedicated training in either would. Most people use circuits as a well-rounded base and add specific strength or interval work alongside them.

Training shoes, a water bottle and a towel cover it. Everything else is set up at the stations before class begins.
